    Development Experience

  • Principal partner in Planned Giving Consultants, LLC. Worked with Hospital Clients in Hawaii, California, Colorado, Texas teaching how to establish and jump-start a PG Program
  • Developed the Planned Giving Program for Castle Medical Center (part of Adventist Health System). Responsible for closing over 60 planned gifts with a value in excess of $45,000,000. This was accomplished with a 3 person shop which also does trust administration for all planned gifts. The "Key" is using volunteers and allied professionals.
  • Raised funds to purchase and operate 1240 Acre Ranch - one of the most successful youth ranches for delinquent boys in the Pacific Northwest. Still operating.

William J. Riker
Planned Giving Consultant and Registered Investment Adviser

  • Bill is a Principal Partner of Planned Giving Consultants (PGC) and has developed in excess of 23 planned gifts valued at over $25,000,000. He specializes in the structuring of complex real estate gifts for individuals and corporations.
  • He is a Registered Investment Adviser and a Branch Manager of Securities America, Inc.
  • Bill is a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation.
  • He holds a State of Hawaii Realtor's License, a General Agent Insurance License for Life and Disability, and is a SCORE/ACE Advisor for the U.S. Small Business Administration.

He was trained by IDS (American Express Financial Advisers) as a Registered Investment Adviser and went on to establish a private practice that specializes in the development and structuring of charitable gifts. Clients include high net worth individuals, corporations and non-profit organizations.
